Construction has started on a 39-meter passenger ferry for Singapore's Majestic Fast Ferry. PT Cahaya Samudra is building the vessel, which Incat Crowther designed to carry 312 passengers at up to 32.5 knots.
Strategic Marine delivered Putri Mayang Sari to Bintan Resort Ferries on 12 August, the first of three 43-metre catamaran ferries in BRF's newbuild programme. The vessel can carry up to 293 passengers across two decks, including 57 Emerald Class seats.
PaxOcean Singapore has signed a Technical Service Agreement with GTT covering membrane tank maintenance and servicing for liquefied natural gas carriers. The accreditation makes PaxOcean Singapore able to work to GTT standards on membrane-type LNGCs, while PaxOcean’s Batam yard already holds GTT accreditation from 2022.
Strategic Marine and Mainprize Offshore signed a protocol of delivery and acceptance for the MO15 and MO16 vessels. The agreement follows the Seawork 2024 multi-vessel contract and comes after deliveries of MO10, MO11 and the first two MO12 and MO14 Supa Swath vessels earlier this year.
Strategic Marine has signed contracts with Mainprize Offshore for two 33 metre Supa Swath crew transfer vessels. The order takes the total number of Supa Swath vessels delivered and on order to 10, with the first two units due in Q3 2027.
The Coastal Sustainability Alliance has launched a “Milk-Run” logistics proof of concept in Singapore with seven industry partners during Singapore Maritime Week. The model uses Voltai, Singapore’s largest e-supply boat, to deliver cargo to multiple mother vessels in one loop, with the aim of cutting marine traffic and Scope 3 emissions.
Strategic Marine has delivered the first two Supa Swath vessels to Mainprize Offshore under a six-vessel programme signed at Seawork in June 2024. The contract includes options for a further six units, and the vessels are intended for offshore renewables work in Europe.
The Coastal Sustainability Alliance named EON, Singapore’s first fully electric harbour tug, at PaxOcean’s new shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun on 23 February. The 29-metre tug is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia and was classed by Bureau Veritas and flagged in Singapore. It has a 3MWh battery system, 50-tonne bollard pull and accommodation for up to 10 crew.
PaxOcean opened its new S$200 million shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun in Singapore on 6 February 2026. The 17.26-hectare yard replaces its Tuas Crescent site and includes two graving docks, one floating dock and expanded quayside capacity.
Strategic Marine has delivered a 27-metre Crew Transfer Vessel to a Taiwanese company for offshore wind work in Taiwan. The vessel is based on the yard’s StratCat 27 design, developed with BMT, and is the eighth SC27 class vessel deployed in the region, according to the yard.
PaxOcean Zhoushan Shipyard named Hull H1053, PAC LEO, the second 40,000-deadweight-tonne multi-purpose vessel built for Pacific Carriers Limited, on 27 January 2026. The ship follows PAC LIBRA, Hull H1052, and is part of PCL’s fleet renewal programme.
Strategic Marine has delivered two 42-metre Generation 4 Fast Crew Boats to NMDC LTS, its first delivery to the Middle East operator. The vessels were handed over in Singapore on 1 December 2025 and are fitted with gyro stabilizers, reinforced cargo decks and seating for up to 80 personnel.
