Construction has started on a 39-meter passenger ferry for Singapore's Majestic Fast Ferry. PT Cahaya Samudra is building the vessel, which Incat Crowther designed to carry 312 passengers at up to 32.5 knots.
The 2007 Alliage 56 DS Promise 4 spent two years at Rivergate Marina & Shipyard in Brisbane during a round-the-world voyage. Owners Graeme and Moira used the stop for a mini refit, storage and inspections before planning to continue toward Europe via the Indian Ocean.
PaxOcean opened its new S$200 million shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun in Singapore on 6 February 2026. The 17.26-hectare yard replaces its Tuas Crescent site and includes two graving docks, one floating dock and expanded quayside capacity.
PaxOcean Zhoushan Shipyard named Hull H1053, PAC LEO, the second 40,000-deadweight-tonne multi-purpose vessel built for Pacific Carriers Limited, on 27 January 2026. The ship follows PAC LIBRA, Hull H1052, and is part of PCL’s fleet renewal programme.
PaxOcean Zhoushan has delivered Martta, Hull No. H1039, to Finland-based Langh Ship. The container feeder is the third vessel in a three-ship programme, following Ingrid and Lene earlier this year.
PaxOcean chief executive Tan Thai Yong said the yard’s big-ship order book now runs to the end of 2028 after the group signed another four tankers last week. He also said the shipyard has capacity for smaller vessels, but slots for larger ships remain tight because of engine availability.
SKK Migas and ENI visited Singatac Bintan on 24 July for a review of the ENI Maha Project. The delegation was led by Pak Mildo Nainggolan, Head of UPP IDD & Geng North, and pressed for completion of Maha on schedule.
