Seaspan Corporation has ordered two 210,000-dwt tri-fuel ore carriers from Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for delivery in 2030. The ships will be chartered to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and tied to a 25-year iron ore transportation agreement between MOL Ocean Bulk and Vale International.
Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding named the final two vessels in PETRONAS’ four-ship 174,000 m³ LNG carrier programme on 2 September 2026. PUTERI KELANTAN and PUTERI NEGERI SEMBILAN were named at the yard’s new Shanghai facility, completing an order placed in April 2022.

SAAM Towage has ordered a second tug from Chilean yard ASENAV, adding to a vessel it already commissioned earlier this year. The new unit is a 32-metre Robert Allan RAstar 3200W design with more than 80 tonnes of bollard pull and IMO Tier III emissions controls.
