Swedish shipping company Furetank and its partners have ordered four new dual-fuel product tankers, according to an announcement on 31 August 2026.
The four vessels will each be 17,999 dwt and will be able to run on liquefied biomethane (LBM), LNG or gasoil. They will also have shore-power connections and battery-hybrid systems intended to cut emissions and reduce fuel consumption.
The announcement did not give the yard name, delivery dates or contract value. It also did not identify the ownership split for the vessels.
