  Marfret orders two 480 teu feeder boxships from Guangji

  Marseille-based liner Marfret has ordered two 480 teu feeder containerships from Hubei Guangji Green Energy Shipbuilding in China. Pricing and delivery dates were not disclosed. The ships will be designed by SDARI, classed by Bureau Veritas and fitted with propulsion equipment from CSSC Power's Zhenjiang operation.

  Gulf Energy Maritime orders LR1 tankers at K Shipbuilding

  Dubai-based Gulf Energy Maritime has placed a $264m newbuilding order at South Korea’s K Shipbuilding for a series of LR1 product tankers. Sources cited by TradeWinds said the deal would effectively double GEM’s existing panamax product carrier fleet.
