Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited
Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (HCSL) is a shipbuilding and ship repair company at Howrah, West Bengal, operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited under India's Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. Formed in 2017 as a joint venture with Hooghly Dock & Port Engineers Limited and became a CSL subsidiary from November 2019, it took over HDPEL's two shipbuilding and repair units at Nazirgunge and Salkia. Tender notices indicate current work on river cruise vessels, 40T bollard pull tugs and new-build hulls, along with development of a ship repair facility at Pandu, Guwahati and work at a Kolkata ship repair unit.

Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (HCSL) is a shipbuilding and ship repair company based at Howrah, West Bengal. Registered in October 2017 under the Companies Act 2013 as a joint venture between Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and Hooghly Dock & Port Engineers Limited (HDPEL) β one of India's oldest shipyards, established in 1819 β it received HDPEL's two shipbuilding/repair units at Nazirgunge and Salkia. Following Union Cabinet approval on 03 October 2019, HCSL became a wholly owned subsidiary of CSL with effect from 01 November 2019, and HDPEL's land assets were transferred to the Government of India in February 2020. As a central public sector entity, the company follows DPE guidelines on corporate governance for CPSEs.
