Derecktor has brought Teakdecking Systems on-site at its Dania Beach shipyard under a new partnership effective immediately. The arrangement is meant to support refit and repair work with earlier planning, integrated estimating and scheduling, and closer coordination between the yard and the decking specialist.
Derecktor Shipyards has launched Derecktor One, a megayacht refit program it says will bundle estimating, project management and delivery under one contract. The service is available at the yard’s Dania Beach and Fort Pierce locations in Florida.
Derecktor said it has expanded project management, installed a fully integrated ERP system across its three shipyards in 2025, and will extend new construction into its Florida yards. The yard also launched Derecktor One, a refit program offering one point of accountability and, where appropriate, all-inclusive pricing at its Florida facilities.
Westport has launched the first hull in its new 41-meter raised pilothouse motoryacht series. Hulls two and three are already sold, with delivery of hull two due later this year and hull three in early 2027. The first yacht, Westport 4101, is due to debut at the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show and is available for immediate delivery.
Great Lakes East has moved its Florida port operations to Port Canaveral, shifting to GT USA’s Canaveral Cargo Terminal. The relocation is intended to cut transit times and add same-day truck unloading, extended gate hours and no appointment requirement for cargo delivery.
Derecktor Shipyards will christen the rebuilt passenger vessel Hazel N. Dukes at its Mamaroneck yard on May 6, 2025. The 57-foot, 16-foot-beam boat was rebuilt with Paradise Express Ferry and Tucker Marine and fitted with rebuilt Detroit Diesel 8V92 turbo engines, Raymarine navigation gear and updated safety systems.
General Dynamics NASSCO–Norfolk won a contract action for maintenance, modernization and repair work on USS Porter (DDG 78). NASSCO–Mayport also secured a year of Planned Maintenance Availabilities for USS Beloit (LCS 29) and USS Cooperstown (LCS 23).
Westport Yachts has launched hull No. 1 of its new 117 | 35m motor yacht series. The yacht is in sea trials, will ship to Florida in December and is due to appear at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in 2025.
