WERFT GRELL
Werft Grell is a family-run boatyard and master craft business (Meisterbetrieb) founded in 1964, based at Am Fischereihafen 10 in Lübeck-Schlutup on the Trave, close to Travemünde and the Baltic. The yard builds new boats in wood, fits out supplied GRP and aluminium hulls, and carries out repairs, refits, painting, technical installations and marine electrics and electronics on wooden, GRP and steel craft. It also operates a marina with 60 water berths plus indoor and outdoor winter storage, served by a slipway, rotating column crane and hydraulic transport system. A separate joinery division has produced building and furniture joinery for clients, architects and public bodies since 1980.

Werft Grell GmbH & Co. KG is a boatyard and master craft business in Lübeck-Schlutup, trading since 1964 with more than 50 years of experience in boatbuilding, conversion and repair. The company combines new construction, refit and yacht service with winter storage and summer berths, and runs a building and furniture joinery division alongside its marine work.

- New boats built in wood from customer drawings, from dinghies to large wooden yachts

- Wooden hull repairs: stems, frames, carvel and diagonal carvel planking, transoms, keels, plywood and cold-moulded skin repairs, laid deck and seam restoration
- GRP processing and repair, including large-area collision damage, gelcoat scratches, laminate fractures, keel sealing and three-stage polishing of yellowed hulls
- Yacht painting: roller coating, natural wood varnishing, spray finishing of boat furniture, antifouling systems on wood, GRP, steel and aluminium, biocide-free on request
- Marine technical installation and repair: engines, saildrives and Z-drives, generators, steering, rudder and shaft systems, bow and stern thrusters, tanks, hydraulics, heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, watermakers, anchor windlasses
- Marine electrics and electronics: fault diagnosis, echo sounders, VHF, GPS and radar, wind instruments, antennas, chargers, battery monitoring, multimedia
- Servicing of gas systems, fire-fighting systems and liferafts
- Building and furniture joinery: office fit-outs, reception and bar counters, clinic interiors, fire and sound insulating doors, windows, flooring, glazing and timber facades
