Varna Maritime Ltd. is a Bulgarian ship repair company based in Varna, founded in 1991 and initially focused on emergency repairs of vessels at sea. Since 1996 it has carried out dock and class repairs of vessels up to 40,000 DWT, and states it has completed repair contracts on more than 250 ships. Services span hull and welding work, mechanical and electrical repairs, piping systems, Metalock cold repairs of castings, and hull treatment and painting. The company carries out its work using quay and dock facilities owned by the TEREM – KRZ Flotski Arsenal – Varna shipyard, and is represented commercially in Great Britain and Germany.

Varna Maritime Ltd. is a ship repair contractor established in 1991 in Varna, Bulgaria. Its early years were devoted mainly to emergency repairs of vessels at sea, and since 1996 the company has undertaken dock and class repairs of ships up to 40,000 DWT, holding what it describes as a substantial share of the Bulgarian ship repair market with contracts on more than 250 ships. The company cooperates with the Technical University of Varna, the Naval Academy, representatives of all classification societies, and local suppliers of marine paints and spare parts.

- Docking of vessels, including hull washing with 300 bar water jet, blasting to SA 2.0 and painting

- Propeller and steering group repairs: steering gear, rudder stock and blade, propeller, shafting
- Anchors, anchor chains and chain lockers
- Hull and welding repairs and conversions: shell plating and framing, superstructure, decks, holds, double bottoms, hatch covers, doors, ladders, manholes; fabrication of ship details such as ventilation pipes and heads, hatches, electrical boxes, fire cabinets, gratings, foundations and hydraulic boxes
- Mechanical repairs of main and auxiliary engines, pumps, gearboxes, heat exchangers, air compressors and deck machinery (windlasses, boat davits, hydraulic cylinders, cargo cranes); machining of bushings, studs, flanges, non-standard bolts and fittings
- Pipe work: repair of existing systems, fabrication of new systems to client design, pressure testing, valve repair, ballast water treatment systems; steel seamless, copper, bronze, hot-galvanised and hydraulic pipes Ø12–Ø500 mm
- Electrical works: megger testing, repair and rewinding of motors and generators, balancing, switchboard manufacture and new cable runs
- METALOCK cold repair of cast iron, cast steel and non-weldable castings, including crack locking and restoration of broken castings
Welding work is performed by specialists certified by IACS member classification societies.
Facilities
Quay and dock facilities used are owned by TEREM – KRZ Flotski Arsenal – Varna EOOD:
- Floating Dock 1: 160 m x 23.40 m, draught 8.70 m, lifting capacity 8,000 t, two 5 t cranes
- Floating Dock 2: 130 m x 17.80 m, draught 7.20 m, lifting capacity 2,200 t, 8 t crane
- Three rail slipways, 135 m each, supplied with electricity, acetylene, fresh water, oxygen, compressed air and crane equipment
