Shipyard ATG Giurgiu S.R.L. is a Romanian shipyard on the Danube in the southern part of Giurgiu, building new inland and sea-going vessels at "Casco" (hull) or "turn-key" level and carrying out repairs and conversions. Its delivered newbuildings include multifunctional cargo ships, self-propelled chemical, oil and cement tankers, tanker and container barges, RO-RO and hopper barges, pushers, ferryboats, pontoons and transfer ramps, classed by Bureau Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyd's Register or ANR. The yard processes up to 600/700 tons of steel per month (around 10,000 tons per year) plus 1,500 tons of aluminium per year, and operates a syncrolift for launching and docking vessels up to 110 m long and 3,000 tons. Operating on the site of the former Giurgiu shipyard since 2002 with Romanian private capital, it has direct access to the Black Sea via the Danube–Black Sea Canal and to Rotterdam via the Rhine-Main-Danube canal.

Shipyard ATG Giurgiu is a Romanian newbuilding and ship repair yard located on the Danube in Giurgiu. The company took over facilities of the former Giurgiu shipyard in May 2002 with 100% Romanian private capital and has since invested over 7 million Euros in equipment and modernisation. It builds inland and sea-going vessels at "Casco" or "turn-key" level and works in accordance with Bureau Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd and Lloyd's Register class rules, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and BVQI standards.

Services

  • New construction of inland and sea-going vessels, hull-only ("Casco") or fully outfitted ("turn-key")

  • ESAB plasma cutting table for plate up to 150 mm, oxy-gas cutting machines, presses (150–350 tf), guillotines, rolling and profile bending machines, punching machine
  • Extensive welding fleet (submerged arc, MIG/MAG, MMA, TIG) from Lincoln Electric, Kemppi, ESAB, CLOOS, Air Liquide and others
  • Lifting equipment from 5 to 70 tons, gantry and mobile cranes, transfer lorry and heavy loading platforms; pipe cutting, calibrating and bending machines
