Founded in 1984 as Geraldton Boat Builders in Western Australia and established in Singapore in 1997-98, the company states it has delivered over 600 vessels including crew transfer vessels, fast crew boats, patrol and interception craft, ferries and workboats. Alongside newbuilding it offers ship repair and maintenance, fabrication and engineering, marine logistics, brokerage and financing solutions such as construction finance and leasing. Strategic Marine (S) Pte Ltd is a shipbuilding company headquartered in Singapore, known for aluminium and steel vessels serving commercial, offshore and defence & security markets worldwide. The brand began in 1984 as Geraldton Boat Builders in Geraldton, Western Australia, building high-performance aluminium fishing vessels, and incorporated in Singapore in 1997 to deliver more than 70 craft for the Singapore Police Coast Guard and the Marine Police Force, Malaysia. It established a Tuas shipyard in 2003, was acquired by Triyards Holdings in 2004 and by Vanguard Investment Holding in 2019, and acquired a larger Singapore facility in 2022–2023. The company reports over 600 vessels delivered to date and states it is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified.
