JSC Shipyard Zaliv

JSC Shipyard Zaliv is a shipbuilding and ship repair yard in Kerch, Crimea, founded in 1938 and occupying more than 140 hectares on the Kerch Strait. Its two building lines — a 360 x 60 m dry dock and horizontal building berths with a transverse slipway — have produced tankers, chemical carriers, container ships, offshore platforms, naval vessels and the nuclear-powered lighter carrier Sevmorput, while the yard also repairs up to 35 vessels a year. The site states that recent series of offshore vessels were built for Norway's Ulstein Hull AS and that output has been exported to countries including the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, Greece, Norway, Russia and Romania. The website also records that on 24 August 2014 the yard's premises were seized by parties presenting themselves as representatives of LLC Shipyard Zaliv (Moscow), after which the legitimate management was blocked from operations; the site content dates from that period and does not describe current activity.

Founded in 1938 on the shore of the Kerch Strait, JSC Shipyard Zaliv is a shipbuilding and ship repair enterprise occupying over 140 hectares in Kerch, Crimea. Around 600 ships were built between 1945 and 1980, and from 1992 onward output was directed to export markets.
