Celik Tekne Shipyard (Çeliktrans Shipyard)

Çeliktrans Deniz İnşaat Ltd. Şti. was founded in 1958 on the European side of the Bosporus as a shipbuilding yard with slipways, and relocated to Tuzla, Istanbul in 1984 following government policy to concentrate shipyards in an industrial zone. The yard passed to its present shareholders in 1992 and has since undergone modernisation and investment. According to the company, it has built and delivered 63 different types of ships and tug boats as newbuildings, alongside extensive repair work.
