Meidericher Schiffswerft GmbH & Co. KG (MSW) is a specialist inland shipyard in Duisburg, Germany, founded in 1898 and active in repair, conversion and newbuilding of inland vessels, Rhine-sea ships and special-purpose craft of all kinds. The yard handles around 400 repair vessels a year using a 110 m slipway, two stern docks of 500 t and 320 t, and a 50 t handling crane, backed by its own steel construction, welding, locksmith and turning workshops plus an in-house engineering team. Newbuilding output covers passenger, hotel, school, police and fire-fighting boats as well as cargo motor vessels, tankers, pusher craft and floating equipment. MSW also runs a mobile repair service, a yacht service with indoor and outdoor storage, and hosts independent specialist firms in an on-site service centre.
