Henningsen & Steckmest Yacht und Bootswerft GmbH is a family-run yacht and boat yard in Kappeln on the Schlei in northern Germany, known as the builder of the Scalar yachts. The yard combines new-build work with an extensive repair operation, full-service winter storage, crane services and its own small marina. Recent projects mentioned on the site include a new SCALAR 40, refits of a SCALAR 34 and SCALAR 36, and construction of a team 8 training boat used for sailing instruction at schools in Schleswig-Holstein. The company also trains boatbuilding apprentices.

Represented by Malte Steckmest and Hauke Steckmest, the business brings together yacht construction, a broad repair operation, winter storage and a family-run marina on one site. The yard opens its doors to visitors at a seasonal "Tag der offenen Werft" and welcomes prospective boatbuilding journeymen and apprentices.
