Guohang Ocean Shipping has set out a RMB 2.49 billion newbuilding plan for six vessels, including three 62,000-dwt multipurpose heavy-lift ships and three 115,000-dwt LR2 tankers. The move takes the company into tanker shipping for the first time and follows a framework agreement with COSCO SHIPPING Energy signed ten days earlier.
Advantage Tankers has ordered four 50,000 dwt MR product tankers from Guangzhou Shipyard International, according to shipbroking and market sources. Delivery is expected by 2029, and the contract price has not been disclosed. The order is the Swiss tanker owner and operator’s first move into the MR segment.
Carlova Maritime has ordered an approximately 82,000-dwt Kamsarmax bulk carrier at Hengli Heavy Industries in China. The vessel is due for delivery in 2027, according to market sources, and follows the Greek owner’s earlier order for a 114,000-dwt Aframax tanker at the same yard.
