CULines signed a contract with Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding on 16 September 2026 for two 14,000 TEU containerships. It is the Chinese carrier's first newbuilding order for vessels above 10,000 TEU. The ships add owned tonnage at the top end of its fleet after earlier charter and newbuild moves this year.
Derecktor said it has expanded project management, installed a fully integrated ERP system across its three shipyards in 2025, and will extend new construction into its Florida yards. The yard also launched Derecktor One, a refit program offering one point of accountability and, where appropriate, all-inclusive pricing at its Florida facilities.
