Orskov Yard in Frederikshavn hosted a primary school class from Frydenstrandskolen for a visit that included a first-time look inside one of the yard’s floating docks. Christina Ørskov said the aim was to give the pupils realistic insight into jobs in the maritime industry and make the path into shipyard work feel less daunting.
Orskov Yard has welcomed the Canadian fishing vessel Sivulliq from Baffin Fisheries for a 25-year class renewal, major engine overhaul, propeller refurbishment and other maintenance work. The vessel crossed more than 3,000 nautical miles to reach Frederikshavn for the refit.
Orskov Yard in Frederikshavn has replaced the crane arm on a large offshore vessel during a recent drydocking.
