Background
Wilson Sons traces its origins to 1837 in Salvador (BA), founded by brothers Edward and Fleetwood Pellew Wilson, initially trading coal and general goods and providing shipping services. Its historical activities included the Dique do Comércio dock inaugurated in 1867 at Ilha de Mocanguê, Niterói (RJ), and railway construction in Brazil from 1879.
