Shipyard Ruhs E. K.

boat yard marina Berlin, Germany

Bootswerft Ruhs e.K. is a family-run boat yard and marina on the southwest shore of the Großer Wannsee in Berlin-Zehlendorf. Founded in 1956 by master boatbuilder Horst Ruhs as a builder of traditional wooden boats, the business later moved into boat sales and, after 1981, focused on berth rental, repairs and all-round boat service; it was taken over by Manfred Frommholz in 2004. Today it offers around 160 berths for boats from 6 to 14 m, its own slipway and crane, sanitary facilities, and workshop services including wood and GRP repair, fit-out work, antifouling and the sale of boat accessories and spare parts. The company is a member of the Deutscher Boots- und Schiffbauerverband / Wirtschaftsverband Wassersport e.V.

Shipyard Ruhs E. K.

Bootswerft Ruhs e.K. is a small, family-run boat yard and marina at Am Großen Wannsee 10 in Berlin. The business was founded in 1956 by master boatbuilder Horst Ruhs, who built traditional wooden boats until 1970 and then developed the firm into a boat dealership — including the Berlin representation for Klepper boats — before shifting its focus after 1981 to berth rental, repairs and boat service. Manfred Frommholz, who had already run the site for many years, took over the business in 2004 and renamed it Bootswerft Ruhs e.K.
