Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited (NASICO) is a Vietnamese state-owned shipyard in Hai Phong, wholly owned by the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and formed in 2007 from the earlier Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Industry Company, with roots going back to 1966. The yard builds and repairs steel vessels including bulk and general cargo ships up to 56,200 DWT, product tankers, 700 TEU container ships, PCTC car carriers, LASH barge carriers, floating docks and a 150,000-tonne FSO, and repairs vessels up to 53,000 DWT. Alongside newbuilding and repair it offers mechanical fabrication, a destructive and non-destructive testing laboratory established in 2003, and freight transport, shipping agency and warehousing services. Facilities include floating docks of 9,600 T and 1,600 T, a 3,000 T dry dock, a transverse slipway and quays serving vessels up to 150,000 DWT.

Nam Trieu Shipbuilding

Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited (NASICO) is a single-member limited liability company wholly funded by Vietnam's Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, reorganised into its present form in April 2007. The yard traces its history to a sea-boat building site established in January 1966, later operating as Z21 Workshop, Le Chan Factory and Nam Trieu Ship Repair Factory. It states more than 50 years of repair experience, over 300 experienced staff, around 39,700 m² of workshop area and a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2008, with newbuilding and ship repair as its core business alongside supporting industries, transport and trade.

  • Floating dock 9,600 T: 140 m x 42 m, 13.6 m submersion, for vessels to 30,000 DWT
  • Floating dock 1,600 T: 104.3 m x 25.8 m, for vessels to 5,000 DWT
  • Dry dock 3,000 T: 100 m x 20 m, for vessels to 5,000 DWT
  • Transverse slipway 197 m x 100 m for vessels to 3,000 DWT
  • Quay No. 1 (130 m) with 50 t and 25 t portal cranes; Quay No. 2 (300 m) with 100 t and 50 t cranes serving vessels to 150,000 DWT
  • Mooring buoys for vessels to 150,000 DWT; tugs of 1,200 CV and 5,600 CV
  • Gantry cranes 300–400 t, crawler and mobile cranes to 300 t, CNC plasma and plate cutting, 12 m three-roll plate bender, 1,200 t press, CNC pipe bending, hot-dip galvanising shop
