McLean's Shipyard Ltd.
McLean's Shipyard Ltd., operating as McLean's West Coast Launch Shipyard, is a family-founded yard established in 1909 at Prince Rupert, British Columbia, and describes itself as the only shipyard on B.C.'s North Coast. Originally a wooden boat builder that launched its last new vessel in 1966, the business now focuses on repair and servicing of fishing boats, yachts and service vessels, offering haul-outs, painting, welding, mechanical labour, moorage and yard storage. The yard was sold in January 2020 to the Davis family of West Coast Launch, which is working to modernize the Seal Cove facility and add marine terminal capability. Published plans include a graving dock, floating intermodal dock, upgraded barge/boat ramp, marina, warehouse and improved water catchment systems.

McLean's Shipyard Ltd. — trading as McLean's West Coast Launch Shipyard — was established in 1909 by Norman Murdock McLean and was run by four generations of the McLean family before passing to the Davis family of West Coast Launch in January 2020. Once a prolific builder of wooden seiners, halibut boats and government vessels, the yard launched its last new build in 1966 and has since concentrated on vessel repair, haul-outs and moorage. It is described as the last shipyard standing on the North Coast of British Columbia, serving both Canadian and American vessels from Washington to Alaska.
