MG Engineering Pty Ltd (Marine \u0026 General Engineering) is a South Australian shipyard and steel fabrication business established in 1995 and located on a 12,000 sq m waterfront site on the Port River at Port Adelaide. It builds steel-hulled commercial vessels such as prawn and scampi trawlers and vehicle/pedestrian ferries, fabricates and delivers modular ship blocks for naval shipbuilding programs, and carries out ship repair and dry docking on its 400MT slipway. The company also undertakes structural steel, plate forming, pressure pipe and mechanical work for the defence, oil and gas, mining, water and construction sectors, and designs, builds and hires modular barges.

MG Engineering Pty Ltd was established in 1995 by Nik and Anthony Brdar and operates a shipyard and fabrication facility on the Port River at Port Adelaide, South Australia. The business spans commercial shipbuilding, ship repair, naval block modules and general steel fabrication for the defence, maritime, oil and gas, mining, water and construction industries. It holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certification under an Integrated Management System, is a certified Steelwork Compliance Australia member at CC2 (working towards CC3), and joined the Defence Industry Security Program in 2021.

  • Modular barge design, build, hire and purchase; tug/barge delivery of modules by sea
