Incat
Incat is a Tasmanian-owned shipyard in Hobart, Australia, that has designed and built high-speed aluminium catamarans for more than four decades. It has delivered around 100 vessels ranging from 30 to 130 metres to operators in 24 countries, and pioneered the wave-piercing catamaran design. The company is now focused on battery-electric and hybrid-electric ferries, with six large electric or hybrid-electric aluminium vessels under construction simultaneously, including a 130-metre battery-electric ferry for Buquebus and three 129-metre zero-emission ferries for Danish operator Molslinjen. Incat employs more than 500 people.
Incat
Incat is a shipbuilder based on the Derwent River in Hobart, Tasmania, specialising in the design and construction of high-speed aluminium catamarans. The company launched its first high-speed aluminium catamaran in 1977 and later introduced the wave-piercing catamaran design. Around 100 Incat vessels are in service with operators in 24 countries. Today the yard positions itself as a leader in large-scale battery-electric and hybrid-electric ferry construction, and states it is the only shipyard in the world with multiple large aluminium electric ferries under construction at the same time.
