Manhasset Bay Shipyard, Inc. is a full-service boat yard located at 451 Main Street in Port Washington, New York, in the sheltered harbor of Manhasset Bay off Long Island Sound. The yard opened at the address in 1992 and has been a subsidiary of the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club since 1995, offering its full range of services to MBYC members and non-members alike. The shipyard manager and staff handle all aspects of boat maintenance and repair. The waterfront site has a long maritime history, having been a salvage yard operated by retired clipper ship captain Elbert Stannard from 1887, later the Peterson Shipyard from 1934, and subsequently home to several yacht service businesses.
