Derecktor Shipyards is a family-owned American shipyard group founded by Bob Derecktor in Mamaroneck, New York in 1947, building and refitting yachts, workboats and military craft. Its build record includes the America's Cup winner Stars & Stripes '87, the 85m Cakewalk, US Coast Guard 270ft cutters, Staten Island ferries, fast ferries, patrol boats, tugs and hybrid-electric passenger and research vessels. The company operates full-service yards in Mamaroneck NY, Dania Beach FL, Fort Pierce FL and Robinhood (Georgetown) Maine, offering everything from dockage and small repairs to complete megayacht refits.

Derecktor Shipyards

Founded in 1947 by Bob Derecktor in a small shop in Mamaroneck, New York, Derecktor Shipyards has grown into a group of full-service facilities along the US East Coast. Still a family business, it combines custom new construction with large-yacht repair and refit work, and has delivered racing yachts, megayachts, ferries, patrol craft, tugs, fishing vessels and Coast Guard cutters. Recent work includes hybrid-electric passenger and research vessels, a semi-custom vessel model ("DC1"), and "Derecktor One," a single-accountability approach to megayacht refits.
