Fåborg Værft A/S

Fåborg Værft A/S (Faaborg Værft) is a Danish shipyard in Faaborg, founded in 1970 as a glassfibre yard, that designs and builds new vessels in composite, aluminium and steel and also carries out repair, maintenance, conversion and reflagging work. The yard is a pioneer in electric ferries, having delivered what it describes as the first 100% electric ferry built in Denmark in 2014, and it also builds fishing vessels, high-speed workboats, modular work vessels and naval craft. Its own harbour facilities include a 500-tonne floating dock, a covered 150-tonne double slipway and several building halls. The company is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and works to the rules of DNV, Lloyd's Register, RINA and Bureau Veritas.

Founded in 1970 as a glassfibre yard, Faaborg Værft A/S describes itself as one of Denmark's leading shipyards for repair, maintenance and newbuilding of composite, aluminium and steel vessels. The yard supplies the commercial maritime sector, public authorities and the leisure boat market, and has specialised in electric and hybrid passenger ferries, delivering what it states was the first 100% electric ferry built in Denmark (Sjövägen, 2014) to Rederi AB Ballerina in Stockholm. It is authorised by the Danish Maritime Authority, works to the rules of DNV, Lloyd's Register, RINA and Bureau Veritas, and has been certified with LRQA for more than 30 years to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. It is also an approved Hempel osmosis repairer.
