Compass Boats
Compass Boats is a family-run Greek builder of small fiberglass powerboats, founded in Athens in 1965 by brothers Dimitris and Markos Samouhos and now run by the second generation. Its current range covers outboard-powered center consoles, bowriders, sport and sport-fishing models from about 4.79 m to 6.83 m, all CE category C (inshore) certified, with build lines including the Sport Line, Bow Rider, Center Console, e Line and Sport Fishing families. Boats are produced using the company's S4 liner construction, which reduces the use of wood, and CAD/CNC-based design. Since 2024 the company has operated from larger premises at Tanagra in Viotia, about 50 km from Athens, and sells through a dealer network.
Compass Boats
Compass Boats has been building fiberglass boats in Greece since 1965, when brothers Marco and Dimitri Samouhos began production in Athens paired with Crescent outboards. Early open runabouts (Compass 12, 14, 15) were followed by models such as the 426, Norway and 490, and later a sailing range including the 426s and the Sigma mini. After difficult years in the 1990s, production was relaunched in 2001, and from 2006 Dimitri's sons George, Fotis and Konstantinos brought the brand into its second generation. The company introduced its first pilot-house model and the S4 liner in 2009, adopted CAD and CNC design for the CC line in 2011, developed the 190 range in collaboration with "MEKY" from 2016, and launched its first stepped-hull model, the 7s, in 2021. In 2025 it marks 60 years of operation.
