Astilleros Polymade is a family-run shipyard in Portonovo, Pontevedra (Galicia, Spain), operating under Hermanos Martínez Lorenzo S.L. and building GRP (P.R.F.V.) boats for the inshore fishing market since 1978. Its range spans roughly 20 models from about 6 m upwards, including professional fishing boats, self-draining and wheelhouse variants, sport/recreational fishing boats, service craft and a passenger vessel, all customisable to the owner's fishing gear and requirements. The yard also designs and builds auxiliary boats for aquaculture, almadraba tuna operations and large ocean-going tuna vessels. Founded in 1978 by Paco and Carmen as ribera carpenters building sailing craft, the yard moved into GRP (P.R.F.V.) construction and specialised in boats for the inshore (bajura) fishing sector. Over more than 45 years it has developed its own methods for engine mounting, electrical installations and fishing equipment fit-out, and has passed to a second generation. The company reports vessels working in more than 50 national and international fishing ports, including Portugal, Cape Verde and Norway.
