Art Shipyard is a ship repair and maintenance yard in Tuzla Bay, Turkey, operating as a venture of Besiktas Group since its inauguration in April 2019. The 80,000 square metre facility can accommodate up to nine vessels at a time and covers steel and outfitting, blasting and painting, pipe works, mechanical and electrical repairs, plus energy-saving and environmental retrofits such as BWTS and scrubber installation. The yard serves bulk carriers, container ships, LPG carriers, RORO vessels and chemical and crude tankers, and states it has worked with more than 150 customers from 24 shipping countries. It is represented commercially by agents in Greece, Singapore/Malaysia and India.

Art Shipyard

Art Shipyard is a ship repair and maintenance yard located in Tuzla Bay, Turkey, established as a venture of Besiktas Group and inaugurated in April 2019. The yard works on an 80,000 square metre site able to host up to nine ships simultaneously, and reports serving over 150 customers from 24 shipping countries. Alongside conventional repair work, it has a strong focus on environmental retrofits, including ballast water treatment system installations tied to IMO ballast water requirements.

Services

  • Steel and outfitting: structural repairs and custom modifications
  • Blasting and painting: hull and deck, hatch covers, cargo holds, ballast and cargo tanks
  • Pipe works: standard pipe renewal, PVC and GRP, stainless steel, CuNiFe, polyethylene/rubber coating, hot dip galvanisation, and BWTS pipe prefabrication
  • Mechanical works: shaft, propeller and rudder works; main and auxiliary engine overhaul; turbocharger and governor maintenance; boilers and economisers; valves and pumps; windlass and mooring winches; cranes and hydraulics; heat exchanger maintenance and ultrasonic cleaning
  • Electrical works: electric motor, fan and blower overhaul and rewinding; switchboard cleaning; air circuit breaker testing; equipment calibration; automation and navigation systems; alternator overhaul
  • Green solutions: BWTS and scrubber installation, silicone paint, duct installation, propeller boss cap fins (PBCF), rudder bulb installation, airguard seal installation
