Ampereship GmbH
Ampereship GmbH is a Stralsund-based builder of fully electric and solar-assisted vessels for inland waterways, founded in 2010 as a spin-off of Ostseestaal GmbH & Co. KG and now part of the Dutch Central Industry Group (CIG). The company delivers turnkey passenger ships and car ferries for 20 to 300 passengers, with new builds stated up to 50 m x 12 m and 700 PAX, built in aluminium or steel to Lloyd, GL and BinSchUO rules. It also supplies its own drive technology — 360-degree rudder propellers, pods and shaft lines, lithium-polymer battery systems, maritime photovoltaics and energy management — for new construction and for diesel-to-electric retrofits of existing fleets. Customers include shipyards, ferry operators and municipalities, with vessels reported in service across European waterways.
Ampereship GmbH
Ampereship GmbH develops and builds emission-free electric ships and ferries for commercial inland navigation. Formed in 2010 as a spin-off of Ostseestaal GmbH & Co. KG and a member of the Netherlands-based Central Industry Group (CIG), the company combines steel and aluminium shipbuilding with in-house electric propulsion, battery and solar technology. Work is delivered turnkey — design, engineering, energy supply and outfitting from a single source — for shipyards, fleet operators and public authorities. The company states it built the world's first electric inland car ferry.
