Catherine Chabaud, France’s minister delegate for the sea and fisheries, visited La Ciotat Shipyards on Wednesday 4 February. She toured the yard, met MB92 and Exail representatives, and discussed refit decarbonisation, ballast-water treatment and maritime autonomy systems.
Georges-François Leclerc, préfet de région, visited La Ciotat Shipyards on Thursday 2 October during a trip organised by the city of La Ciotat. The site was presented to him in the presence of mayor Alexandre Doriol, alongside a redevelopment plan worth more than 60 million euros and the local firms operating on the yard.
La Ciotat Shipyards began a new phase of work in mid-April on the longitudinal north-east cladding of Nefs B and C at the Grande Darse. The job covers 3,900 m² of steel sheet, with 1,400 m² on Nef B and 2,500 m² on Nef C, after the yard completed roof rehabilitation on Nef B.
