Hanwha Shipping has taken delivery of its first VLCC tanker, Elandra K2, from Hanwha Ocean’s Okpo Shipyard in South Korea. The 320,000 DWT vessel is registered in the Marshall Islands and will go on charter to Vitol; AIS data showed it at Khor Fakkan anchorage in the UAE.
Rivergate Marina and Shipyard has marked 20 years since the project was launched on Brisbane’s former industrial riverfront at Murarrie. The yard said the site began as a $150 million greenfield development and has since grown into a superyacht refit base that has handled more than 150 superyachts in its first decade and hundreds more since.
Bollinger Shipyards joined U.S. Coast Guard officials and the family of Vincent Danz at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York on 22 May for the commissioning of USCGC Vincent Danz (WPC-1162). The 154-foot Sentinel-class Fast Response Cutter was built for the Coast Guard and is the second Bollinger-built cutter to carry memorial plaques made with steel from the World Trade Center debris.
Bollinger Shipyards and U.S. Coast Guard officials commissioned USCGC Olivia Hooker in Pascagoula, Mississippi, on 22 January. The cutter will be homeported there, and Bollinger said it took delivery of the vessel at Coast Guard Sector Key West in October 2025.
