ASENAV said its new RAstar 3200-W escort tug is about 50% complete at its Valdivia yard and is due for delivery in February 2027. The speculative-build vessel will have 80 tonnes of bollard pull and is being built without a prior contract.
Rivergate Marina and Shipyard has marked 20 years since the project was launched on Brisbane’s former industrial riverfront at Murarrie. The yard said the site began as a $150 million greenfield development and has since grown into a superyacht refit base that has handled more than 150 superyachts in its first decade and hundreds more since.
Rivergate Marina & Shipyard has completed a six-month refit of the 24-metre aluminium catamaran Reef Ranger, a marine environment protection vessel based in Cairns. The yard said the work included a custom hybrid system, new MAN engines and an exhaust aftertreatment system that it described as an Australian first.
