The Port of Barcelona has approved a ten-year extension of MB92 Barcelona’s shipyard concession and a 4,000m² increase in yard area. MB92 said it will invest more than €40 million between 2026 and 2028 in quayside, dry dock and lifting upgrades, with work also under way on a further five-year extension to 2055.
MB92 La Ciotat published interviews with four crew members working on yachts at its yard in La Ciotat for World Boating Day. The piece centres on life onboard for a Purser, Deckhand, Chief Steward and Butler, including long hours, rotation contracts and time away from home.
Squircle Capital has increased its stake in MB92 Group to 100%, after a series of earlier increases from 77.5% in 2019 to 93% in 2022 and 98% in 2025. MB92 said the move comes as it develops a five-year strategic and expansion plan.
Núria Gazulla, Interiors Department Manager at MB92 Barcelona, described how her team handles superyacht refit and repair work, including a recent onboard oil painting protection case. She said the department works alongside project managers, engineers and contractors to translate client expectations into deliverables and manage interiors on complex projects.
