The Port of Barcelona has approved a ten-year extension of MB92 Barcelona’s shipyard concession and a 4,000m² increase in yard area. MB92 said it will invest more than €40 million between 2026 and 2028 in quayside, dry dock and lifting upgrades, with work also under way on a further five-year extension to 2055.
MB92 Barcelona, the Port of Barcelona and Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta have started work on AiguaNova, a €1 million project to reuse greywater from showers at CEM Sant Sebastià. The treated water will be used for yacht cleaning and cooling at MB92 Barcelona, cutting the yard’s potable water demand.
