Kenya closed the 11th Our Ocean Conference in Mombasa after President William Ruto said the country had made commitments worth $1.1bn for the blue economy. The three-day meeting was the first Our Ocean Conference held in Africa, and Kenya handed hosting duties for 2027 to Canada.
Tema Shipyard Limited’s newly inaugurated board has toured the yard’s main operational areas, including Dock 1, Dock 2, the Pump House, workshops, the Air Compressor Room, the Floating Office Quarters and the Slipway. Board chairman Dr. George Sipa-Adjah Yankey said the board must ensure the facilities and equipment are maintained and upgraded to keep the yard competitive.
Ocean Voyager will attend the Africa Boating Conference on October 21-22, 2025, in Cape Town, South Africa. The company said it will use the event to meet operators, discuss superyacht logistics and explore partnerships in Africa’s coastal tourism market.
Singatac has opened a new facility at Ras Al Khair in Saudi Arabia, extending its fabrication work into the Kingdom. The company said the site will supply components for oil and gas and renewable wind energy markets across the GCC, Africa and Europe.
