Tuong Aik Shipyard Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian shipbuilding and marine repair yard based on a 12-acre site at Sibu, Sarawak, accessible by air, road and river. The yard develops, designs and constructs purpose-built tugs and offshore vessels, and states it has delivered over 200 vessels including anchor handling tug supply vessels, offshore supply and utility vessels, harbour tugs, workboats, ferries, landing craft and barges. Design work is outsourced to global and local designers under in-house project engineering oversight, with steel components prepared on its own CNC plasma-oxygen cutting machines. Its quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 by Bureau Veritas Certification, and vessels are built to the requirements of classification societies including BV, ABS, DNV·GL, ClassNK and RINA, with the majority of orders reported as exports to the MiddEast East, Singapore and Indonesia.
