PL Yachting Shipyard
PL Yachting is a boat yard based at Port-la-Forêt in La Forêt-Fouesnant, southern Finistère, France, founded in 2002. It maintains, repairs and refits sailing yachts and motorboats, with work covering hull and appendage preparation, composite repair, osmosis treatment, sandblasting (aérogommage), painting and full interior refits. The yard also sells new and used boats as a specialist in the J Composites range and is a service point for Technique Voile sails. It works on production cruisers as well as offshore racing yachts such as Class40, Figaro 3 and IMOCA.
PL Yachting Shipyard
PL Yachting is a boat yard established in 2002 at Port-la-Forêt in southern Finistère, France, between Concarneau and Bénodet near the Glénan archipelago. Founded by Xavier Pagnier with Jean-Pierre Loyer, the yard has been led since 2008 by Eric Kerscaven, a specialist in composites and paint from the offshore racing world. Alongside maintenance, repair and refit work for sail and motor boats, the company sells new and used yachts and acts as a sail service point.
Services
- Hull and appendage preparation, chocking, sanding and reshaping
- Composite work in carbon, glass and epoxy, including custom parts
- Repair of damaged boats and grounding damage; keel-attachment lamination (e.g. Figaro 3)
- Appendage profile improvement
- Osmosis treatment: gelcoat planing, long-term drying and heated patches, re-impregnation resin, epoxy primer, antifouling or long-life matrix
- Aérogommage (soft sandblasting) at the yard or by mobile unit
- Painting: hull with primer and antifouling, deck with non-slip, masts, appendages
- Refits: interior refitting, deck hardware and deck layout modernisation, waste tank or dry toilet installation, rigging replacement, safety checks and jackstay fitting
- Routine maintenance with hull and deck inspection points; seacock replacement, electronics fitting, toilet installation
- New and used boat sales, with personalised advice (in partnership with Royal Nautisme for over 10 years)
- Sail projects and accessories as a Technique Voile service point (sailmaker based at La Trinité-sur-Mer)
- Rigging, mechanical and electronics work handled through partner companies

- New 250 m² workshop completed around November 2022 for boats up to 60 feet
- Outdoor hardstanding used for winter boat storage; dry berthing for IMOCA yachts
