Miura Shipyard (株式会社三浦造船所, Miura Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.) is a Japanese shipbuilder in Saiki, Oita Prefecture, founded in 1960 as a wooden boat builder and incorporated in 1964. It builds steel vessels for domestic coastal and ocean-going trades, including cargo ships, oil and chemical tankers, cement carriers, liquefied gas bulk carriers and passenger ferries, with building berths permitted up to 9,990 G/T and 4,000 G/T. The company also carries out ship repair up to 4,000 G/T and holds Oita prefectural construction licences covering civil engineering, steel structure and painting work, alongside a coastal shipping business. It employs 42 staff plus roughly 320 subcontractors across its head office yard and the Nooka and Kaizaki plants.

Miura Shipyard

Miura Shipyard (株式会社三浦造船所 / Miura Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.) is a family-founded shipbuilder based in Saiki, Oita Prefecture, on the Bungo Channel. Started in 1960 building wooden vessels and incorporated in 1964, it moved into small steel ships in 1967 and has since delivered a wide range of coastal and ocean-going tonnage under the "MIURA" brand, with an emphasis on safety, environmental performance and fuel efficiency. Capital stands at 100 million yen, with 42 employees and around 320 subcontract workers.
