Onomichi Shipyard
Onomichi Dockyard Co., Ltd. is a Japanese shipbuilder and ship repairer founded in 1943, with its head office in Kobe and manufacturing bases in Onomichi and Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture. It builds product and product/chemical tankers, bulk carriers, RORO ships, tween deck cargo vessels and chip carriers up to around 110,000 DWT, and states an annual capacity of 500,000 DWT of newbuilding and 4,000,000 DWT of ship repair. The company is one of a small number of Japanese yards carrying out both newbuilding and repair, including conversion work and ballast water treatment system installation, and also supplies the "Sharlock" auto lashing device. It reported sales of 56,025 million yen (FY2025) with 431 employees, holds ISO9001 certification since 1998, and operates group companies including Saiki Heavy Industries.

Founded on 1 April 1943 and marking its 80th anniversary in 2023, Onomichi Dockyard (ONOZO) is a Japanese shipbuilder and ship repairer with its head office in Kobe, a Tokyo branch, and production facilities in Onomichi and Fukuyama. The company traces its origins to founder Kishitaro Hamane's shipping and repair businesses and today pursues a "shipyard for shipowners" philosophy, with stated capacity of 500,000 DWT/year in shipbuilding and 4,000,000 DWT/year in ship repair, 431 employees and sales of 56,025 million yen (FY2025). It is one of only a handful of Japanese yards handling both newbuilding and repair, and holds ISO9001 certification for its shipbuilding business (acquired 1998).
