Goa Shipyard Limited
Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is a Defence Public Sector Undertaking established in 1957, operating under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, on the banks of the river Zuari in Goa. Beginning as a small barge building yard, it has built and commissioned more than two hundred vessels, mainly patrol craft for the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard, with particular expertise in steel and aluminium hull patrol vessels and over a hundred GRP fast interceptor boats. Alongside new construction, GSL offers ship repair and refit, ship modernisation and conversion, and general engineering services. The yard is certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 by Indian Register Quality System.

The company holds an Integrated Management System certification covering ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety), issued by Indian Register Quality System, accredited by NABCB and RvA.

Notable Deliveries
- First LPG Cylinder Carrier Vessel delivered to the Lakshadweep Administration in July 2024
- Damage Control Simulator delivered to the Indian Navy at Port Blair in August 2023, ahead of schedule
