Estaleiro São João
Estaleiro São João is a shipyard in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, that builds barges and pusher tugs in naval steel for navigation on Amazon rivers. Construction follows the rules of international classification societies including the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Bureau Colombo and Bureau Veritas, and the yard uses its own in-house vessel and barge designs developed over decades of operation. It has delivered petroleum barges of up to 5,000 DWT for local companies, as well as deck cargo barges for trucks, shingle, sand and timber. The yard also notes financing routes for buyers through BASA (FNO), BNDES (FINAME), the Merchant Marine Fund (FMM) and shipowner capital.
