Chantier Naval Le Charles is a family-run boatyard in Saint-Malo, Brittany, founded in 1975 by Michel Le Charlès and managed since 2008 by Laurent Le Charlès. The yard specialises in wooden hull repair for fishing and leisure vessels, and builds wooden boats to all types of plans in solid timber or plywood, including Doris and flat-bottomed plates, spars and replicas of traditional rigs. It also carries out interior fit-out, deck work in teak, caulking and hull repairs on wood, polyester, steel and aluminium boats, plus fabrication of live-fish tanks (viviers). The yard joined the Qualinautic association in 2012.

Chantier Naval Le Charles

A family boatyard in Saint-Malo, created in 1975 by Michel Le Charlès in a 75 m² workshop on quai Trichet and moved to the Zone Industrielle Sud in 1984. Laurent Le Charlès took over management of the family business in 2008, and the yard joined the Qualinautic association in 2012. Its core expertise is the repair of wooden hulls for both fishing and pleasure craft, alongside traditional wooden boatbuilding, joinery, caulking and fit-out work.
