Begun in the 1960s from the design work of Alfredo Magazzù, the yard built a record of experimental naval projects and patents — including the Alicudi motorsailer, the TRIS trimarans, the Alitris RIB-hydrofoil, the Monostab foil-stabilised monohull and seaplane research — working alongside names such as Aeritalia, Dornier, Cantieri Baglietto, Cantieri Rodriquez and General Craft.
