Astilleros Canarios - ASTICAN
Astilleros Canarios S.A. (ASTICAN) is a privately owned ship repair yard in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, fully operational since 1976. Its main activity is the repair, maintenance and conversion of all types of vessels, structures, marine renewable energy devices and offshore units, handled on a Syncrolift dry-docking platform rated for vessels up to 36,000 DWT with seven dry-docking lanes. The yard also runs the ASTICAN Deepwater Quayside for FPSO, subsea and drilling equipment work, plus storage and service facilities in Tenerife. ASTICAN forms part of the Alimia Shipyards Group alongside ASTANDER in Santander and ASTIBAL in Panama.

Astilleros Canarios S.A. (ASTICAN) is a privately owned ship repair yard in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria that became fully operative in 1976. Its core business is the repair, maintenance and conversion of all types of vessels, structures, marine renewable energy devices and offshore units, with the yard stating capacity for around 180 vessels per year and a workforce of more than 1,500 people. ASTICAN is part of the Alimia Shipyards Group, together with ASTANDER (Santander) and ASTIBAL (Panama), and states it holds certified management system standards covering quality, health, safety, environment and R&D+i.

Facilities
- Syncrolift dry-docking platform: 175 m long, 30 m wide, 10,000 t lifting capacity, for vessels up to 36,000 DWT
- 7 dry-docking lanes (approx. 1,000 m total) with mobile cranes up to 600 t
- 700 m of own quays with drafts of 8–12 m
- ASTICAN Deepwater Quayside (ADQ), operational since November 2017: 270 m berthing line at Reina Sofía quay, drafts over 21 m, 13,100 m² total area; North Workshop 925 m² and South Workshop 2,500 m² with gantry cranes, plus 1,000 m² of offices
- Workshops: store, maintenance, mechanical, steel and piping, Kongsberg workshop, and a 1,080 m² multipurpose dust-free workshop with two 15 t cranes
- Storage area of 6,000 m² fenced with security cameras, a 450 m² workshop and a 4,000 m² outdoor yard
- Offices for superintendents and project teams; canteen for 400 people
- Kongsberg Maritime Las Palmas operates a 2,100 m² repair and overhaul workshop at the yard
