The Virginia Pilot Association has taken delivery of a new high-speed pilot boat from Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding. The 58-foot all-aluminum launch is the tenth vessel the Somerset, Mass., yard has built for the Virginia pilots since 1983.
The Pilots’ Association of the Bay and River Delaware has taken delivery of a new pilot boat from Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding, Duclos Corporation. The 53.6-foot all-aluminum launch is the association’s fourth Chesapeake Class boat and eleventh pilot boat from the Somerset, Mass., yard since 1957.
Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding has delivered its first crew transfer vessel, a 88.5-foot all-aluminum catamaran, to Patriot Offshore Maritime Services. The CTV will carry 24 offshore workers and equipment for offshore wind construction and O&M work on the U.S. East Coast.
