Westport Orange Shipyard, LLC is a commercial shipyard located on the Sabine River in Orange, Texas, specializing in new construction along with maintenance and repair of work boats and inland barges. The site traces its origins to a Consolidated Steel Corporation fabrication yard expanded for the U.S. Navy in 1940, and was acquired by Westport Marine Holdings, LLC on Oct. 4, 2014. The yard employs more than 250 employees and contractors, including ABS certified welders, fitters, mechanics, project managers and quality control staff, and runs an Enterprise Resource Planning system for project and business management.
