Stahlbau Nord GmbH
Stahlbau Nord GmbH is a Bremerhaven-based steel construction and shipbuilding company founded in 1993, specialising in the newbuilding of hulls, sections and superstructures in steel, stainless steel and aluminium for mega-yachts, cruise ships, naval vessels and special-purpose ships. It supplies the large German and northern European shipyards, often producing complete steel structures "from keel to funnel", and has also delivered complete vessels of its own, including the sail training ship Alexander von Humboldt II, the Ro-Ro ship Kugelbake and pontoons. Further activities include ship conversion, lengthening and repair, LNG tanks for ship newbuilds and retrofits, and steelwork for offshore wind substation platforms. The company is part of the owner-managed HEINRICH RÖNNER GRUPPE and operates from the Lune Halle site at Am Lunedeich in Bremerhaven.
