Fassmer (Fr. Fassmer GmbH & Co. KG) is a sixth-generation German family business founded in 1850 that builds special-purpose ships, boats and fibre-composite products. Its work spans research vessels, ferries, patrol and naval training boats, lifeboats, davits and boarding systems, plus GRP/CFRP components for industries such as wind power and amusement rides. Headquartered in Berne-Motzen on the Weser near the German North Sea coast, the group operates a new shipyard site in Stralsund and joint ventures and subsidiaries in Poland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the USA. Fassmer Service supports life-saving appliances worldwide with maintenance, repairs, refits and spare parts.

Fassmer is a family-owned shipbuilding and composites group founded in 1850 in northern Germany and now in its sixth generation. The company organises its work into three business areas — Maritime, Defence and Composite — supported by a separate worldwide service organisation. It combines in-house research, design and engineering with its own production halls for shipbuilding, boat building and fibre-composite manufacture, and describes a certified quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
